Who we are
The Fletcher Alumni Association of Washington D.C. (also refered to as the Fletcher D.C. Alumni Club) is one of the oldest and most active alumni communities of The Fletcher School. Founded in the early 1980s, the Club serves the largest concentration of Fletcher alumni in the world, bringing together a dynamic network of professionals across government, international organizations, the private sector, and beyond.
At its core, the Club is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections within the Washington, D.C. community. We provide a welcoming space for alumni to build and sustain relationships, exchange ideas, and support one another professionally and personally. Through regular programming, the Club strengthens the bond between alumni and maintains a close connection to Fletcher and Tufts University.
Our events reflect the diversity and energy of the Fletcher community. Throughout the year, we host a range of social gatherings, speaker events, professional development opportunities, and volunteer activities. Signature traditions include our annual picnic and regular happy hours, alongside programming that supports Fletcher initiatives such as Career Trek and prospective student engagement.
The Club also plays an important role in mentorship and community-building. Whether connecting recent graduates with experienced alumni or helping prospective students learn more about Fletcher, we aim to strengthen the pipeline into and within the Fletcher network in Washington.
Above all, the Fletcher D.C. Alumni Club is about community-creating opportunities to connect, give back, and stay engaged with a shared Fletcher identity in one of the world’s most vibrant professional hubs.
